Task 14: Project Seminars
 

Activity: exchange

Description: The task is to organize regular project seminars on the subject of e-government theory and practice, and technologies relevant for developing e-government systems. The seminars are intended to be practical and demonstration-driven, each taking about three hours. Intended audience consists of IT staff of Macao government departments, particularly those who are part of the core and extended teams of developers for e-Macao project. Other than this, the seminars will be open to all interested to attend them.

Purpose: To create a continued learning environment for government IT staff and IT professionals in Macao, opportunity to exchange opinions and share experiences. Second, to assess the value of an emerging technology for e-government system development, and the appropriateness of organizing a full-time training course on this technology, as part of the project's regular training program; the seminar series is meant to complement, not replace this program.
