Activity: development
Description: The task is to obtain a prototype implementation of the e-government service-supporting middleware, complete with an API of all middleware-compliant e-services and example implementations of three e-services - G2C, G2B and G2G - as done earlier in the project. The source code is partly generated - from RSL specifications or UML diagrams - and the rest is written by hand. Java is the programming language to be used. The implementation is tested on both module and system levels.
Purpose: To show by example how a working e-government system can be built following a well-planned, deliberate development process. To gain development experience and technical insight in building e-government systems, and share this know-how with the IT staff developing the "real" system. Although the developers may choose a different development route, they may also choose to reuse some documents produces here (in particular the formal specifications and the object design diagrams).
